Party planning? Avoid the sugar rush!

When it comes to planning your little one’s special day, you might be tempted to reach for the sugar packed sweets only to realize that you’ll be having a hyperactive kiddo bouncing up and down at bedtime.

Less sugar does not necessarily mean less fun. We teach you some top tricks on how to make your little one’s birthday party a day to remember while limiting their sugar intake.

  1. Farm World Scavenger hunt

Hide their favorite Farm World fruit string characters around the house or in the garden and leave hidden clues to help them find their healthy treat. This is an excellent way to encourage teamwork. The best part, these snacks are free from the artificial stuff, plant-based, and vegan.

  1. Swop the sweet treats for fruity sticks

Use skewers to add little pieces of fruit for a pop of color to the party table. You can go the extra mile and use cookie cutters to cut out little shapes of fruit too! This is bound to spark their interest instead and is a lot healthier than sweets.

  1. Swop the crisps for some good ol’ popcorn

Forget the crisps, pop some popcorn, and pack it in colored paper holders as a healthier alternative to potato chips. Planning a sleepover party? Use a tri-projector and a bed sheet in your backyard to have a movie night! It will be something that the kids will never forget.

  1. Make ants on a log

A no-fail snack containing all the healthy fats. Simply cut celery sticks in half, top with peanut butter (use sunflower butter if your child has a nut allergy) and top it with raisins or cranberries. This snack does not only look interesting and fun to eat but is packed with all the goodness and makes for a healthy alternative to common party snacks.

  1. Serve yogurt lollies instead of ice-cream

Add some sugar-free fruit yogurt to lolly moulds and freeze for 3-4 hours. They taste just as good and acts as the perfect sugar free alternative to ice-cream. These are excellent for pool parties!

  1. Choose smart snacks for their lucky packets

Send em’ home with a lucky packet filled with their favorite Farm World snacks. It’s an excellent healthier alternative to ensure fun play and deliciousness all the way!
